Happy Labor Day!

My babies are about two months old now, so I'm at the very beginning of my loc journey. How very exciting (woop woop) lol. I had comb coils completed by a braider. She used some kind of black stuff - special made by the shop, she said. I have been doing my research and I notice that this will be a never ending learning experience. There is a wealth of information on youtube (WOW). I washed my hair one time so far - I was scared of the unraveling; but it wasn't so bad, I used a stocking cap as a preventative. This was suggested by uluv2nvme on youtube. What a huge blessing! The Bronze Goddess on youtube highly recommended Africa's Best Herbal Oil - I found for about $2.99 at a beauty supply stores. This stuff is AWESOME! It made my hair feel really good and seemed to reduce some of the fuzz.

I'm already having the fuzzies and I have a bunch of buds (yay!!). Seems like the back of my head is progressing nicely, but the top isn't doing much of anything. They are very thin and look so blah... I don't want to have stragally (sp) looking locs down the road; so, tonight I combined them (the ones in the the front). I am sitting under the dryer as we speak - only because I don't want to go to sleep on wet hair as this may cause mildew. I am hoping this will help my babies to look better.
